TRANSFERS

For incoming transfers please have the transferring FFL email us with a copy of their FFL and all contact information for the transferee to beararmsarmory.co@gmail.com. This is the preferred method. As we are usually very busy, calling us may result in a delay in communication.

 

Bear Arms Armory takes no responsibility for firearms damaged in shipment, warranties, or repair of the firearm. All problems must be addressed with the originating seller.

 

ALL transfers must be shipped from licensed FFL dealers.

 

Transfer fees are as follows:

•$75 for the 1st firearm.

•$10 for each additional firearm in the same transaction. 

Maximum of 3 firearms per transaction.

 

Outbound Transfer from us to another FFL:

•$150 per firearm transfer fee.

•+Shipping ups actual ground/2 day air cost.

 

Private party transfers:

•$50 for the 1st firearm.

•$10 for each additional firearm in the same transaction.

Maximum of 3 firearms per transaction.

BACKGROUND

There will be a $12.50 background check fee for ALL firearm transactions as mandated by the State of Colorado followed by a 3 day (72 hour waiting period).

 

When the firearm arrives at our facility, please allow us time to input into our system. Once the firearm is ready, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for an in person visit to initiate a Background check. Once, the 3 day (72 hour) waiting period expires and the Background check clears you will be contacted to schedule an appointment for pickup.

DENIALS AND RETURNS

•$150 per firearm transfer fee.

•+Shipping ups actual ground/2 day air cost (to return firearms to originating FFL responsible for sale).

​HOURS OF OPERATION

All transfers will be facilitated on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9am and 3pm. By appointment only.

 

MAGAZINE RESTRICTIONS

If a transfer comes to us with magazines over the Colorado legal limit of 15 rounds, we will remove them and will not be able to transfer them into your possession.

 

EXTENDED STORAGE FEE

Customers have 30 days from the date Bear Arms Armory contacts them to pick up their transfers. Firearms left at Bear Arms Armory for more than 30 days will incur a storage fee of:

•$25 per week, per item.

 

FAILURE TO ARRANGE PICKUP

A firearm left with Bear Arms Armory as a result of a transferor other reason without a response from the owner of more than three (3) months after contact has been attempted is declared as abandoned and may become the property of Bear Arms Armory and may be disposed as Bear Arms Armory management may determine.

 

Judicious efforts will be made to resolve the delay by requiring at least three attempts via at least two different methods (Phone, Email, US Mail, text, etc.) to contact the owner. Contact with the original seller will be attempted to seek additional contact information if necessary.Upon failure to obtain a response from any of the above, Bear Arms Armory will send a notice via USPS Certified mail, receipt requested, to the address provided. The letter will identify the firearm by make, model, and serial number. It will note how long Bear Arms Armory has had the firearm, and that the owner has thirty (30) days to resolve the issue, or the firearm will be declared abandoned and become the property of Bear Arms Armory.

 

If an individual transferring a firearm through Bear Arms Armory has been contacted and has indicated that the firearm needs to be left for an extended period of time, arrangements may be provided upon agreement of the owner and Bear Arms Armory. This may involve additional charges.If an item has been denied, the customer will be provided information to contest the denial. However, if the resolution has not been resolved within three (3) months the above policy will apply.
